Tasty Tamales!

The RPCV group in Phoenix got together for the second annual tamale making party this past weekend. Everyone brought a tasty piece of the tamale party including margaritas, roasted veggies, and marinated meats. Kelly S came out again this year and provided our tamale tutorial. By the end of the day, everyone had mastered the wrapping of the tamale and had a few tamales to take home. We also steamed a few tamales to enjoy with our margaritas. To all those who came out, thank you. To those who weren't able to come, hopefully you can make it next year;)  For more photos from this awesome event, click the link below:

Tamale Making Party

This Saturday, December 8th, we'll be meeting to make tamales! Anyone interested in learning how to make tamales, teaching others how to make tamales, or just hanging out drinking margaritas meet up with us as we'll be cooking up a storm at 7010 N Barbados Pl (7th Ave & Glendale). The party will start at 10:00 am, but will be going into the early hours of the evening. So feel free to stop by at any time. We will be making tamales with meat, tamales with veggies, tamales however you like. Come and join us because we all know tamales are tasty but no fun to make alone! Please RSVP in the comments below so we know how many ingredients to buy.
